Chilled beams are sensible cooling and heating devices that reduce airflow requirements for a space by using
the waterside design in addition to the primary air. Displacement ventilation provides an energy efficient way
of improving indoor air quality, increasing thermal comfort within spaces, and allowing for a higher ventilation
effectiveness. The Cabinet Displacement Chilled Beam (ACBC) combines the benefits of these two technologies
to provide an energy efficient HVAC system and improved comfort benefits.
The ACBC is designed for high occupancy applications such as classrooms in primary, secondary, and higher
education buildings. The ACBC supplies low velocity fresh air at ground level which allows for stratification to
occur in the occupied space.

The Linear Active Chilled Beam (ACBL1212) is Price Industries’ most versatile beam. With the option of either
1-way or 2-way throw patterns, the ACBL12 can be utilized in room centers, perimeters or both to provide
optimum thermal comfort. The ACBL12 is designed to provide a high cooling and heating output by conditioning
the room air induced through the beams hydronic coil while simultaneously supplying fresh, conditioned air to
the occupied area.

The Modular Active Chilled Beam (ACBM) provides high transfer efficiencies, allowing the designer to maximize
the beam capacity while minimizing the primary airflow rate. The ACBM induces room air through the heat
exchanger, mixes it with supply air, and delivers the combined air streams into the occupied zone via slots along
the perimeter of the beam. The low profile design of the ACBM allows for reduced ceiling plenum heights or
minimal clearance requirements for exposed installations. The ACBM is a perfect application for small enclosed
spaces. The 4-way discharge of the ACBM offers a comfort advantage over similarly sized linear active beams
due to the reduction in throw. The ACBM provides a more traditional aesthetic while also offering an efficient,
comfortable, and lower maintenance alternative to more traditional systems.

The Linear Induction Unit (LIU) is Price Industries’ solution to high latent applications. This induction unit can be
utilized in room centers with its 2 way throw pattern to provide optimum thermal comfort. The LIU is designed to
provide cooling and heating output by conditioning the room air induced through the beams hydronic coil while
simultaneously supplying fresh, conditioned air to the occupied area. The incorporation of a condensate drain
pan allows for higher latent and colder water applications.

The Linear Passive Chilled Beam (PCBL) is a sensible cooling only product that does not require airflow to treat
the sensible load in a space. The cooling effect is created by natural convection through the use of a cooling coil
in the unit. The warm return air rises and contacts the cooling coil which creates a downward airflow that draws
the return air across the cooling coil and provides cooling capacity.
The compact design of the PCBL provides for short ceiling plenum heights or minimal clearance requirements for
exposed installations. It does not require external air, but should be applied in conjunction with other air delivery
systems such as active beams, underfloor air distribution, displacement ventilation, or mixing ventilation , to deal
with space ventilation requirements and/or space latent loads. When combined with a displacement ventilation
system, the passive chilled beam will greatly improve the system transfer effectiveness.

The PIC-HP is a standalone or networkable, fully digital and programmable controller. This control solution is ideal for managing the sequences of Price radiant heating and cooling products. The PIC-HP is an advanced and configurable proportional integral (PI) controller and allows for exceptional user comfort and energy efficiency. It is designed specifically to manage the control requirements of radiant systems. The PIC-HP is designed with a modular architecture and includes BACnet networking as standard. This allows flexibility to the customer by providing both the “core” controller as well as powerful control and communication options with the use of the expansion modules.

The PRTU-IP-RTR links the Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN), enabling communication and access to the PRTU-BAC-RTR and Web Server on a local network. Router configuration is available via a web browser for PAT, NAT and build-in stateful firewall setup. Port forwarding is also available, enabling LAN-side devices to be accessed remotely online.

The Retrofit Induction Unit (RIU) is designed as a direct replacement for older, legacy induction units no longer
available through the previous manufacturer. The RIU can be selected to operate at lower static pressures to
provide the same capacity as the existing system which can result in significant fan energy savings or it can be
selected to be used with the existing system for a one-to-one swap.
It can be installed within existing cabinetry or provided with customized cabinets to update the look of the space.
The legacy induction units are typically installed in single zone applications along the perimeter and can be found
in facilities such as hospitals and healthcare, universities, condominiums, and commercial buildings.

The TRM is an injection mixing module specifically designed for hydronic systems. It improves system controllability
by enabling dynamic zone level EWT adjustment. Typically installed with modern Chilled Beams and radiant
systems, this module helps minimize piping, GPM, and pump HP required to condition a building. At the same
time, allowing the use of sensible only hydronic systems in spaces with high dew point fluctuation (ex. operable
windows).

The Recessed Active Chilled Beam (ACBR) can be used in a vertical or horizontal configuration. The induced
airflow can either be drawn from the room side or from the plenum space. The primary air and induced air are
mixed together in the beam and discharged vertically or horizontally into the space to provide conditioned and
comfortable air.
When used in a horizontal application, the active chilled beam has a low profile and is an ideal product for spaces
with low ceiling height, curtain wall construction, or bulkheads, making it a great alternative to fan coils. Ideal
applications include perimeters, office spaces, dormitories, and hotel rooms.
When used in a vertical application, the narrow profile of the active chilled beam makes the unit ideal for installations
in narrow, tight spaces along perimeters.

BACnet MS/TP networks can be complex and contain devices from multiple manufacturers, which can make for difficult troubleshooting. The BACnet Commissioning Tool (BCT) helps troubleshoot BACnet networks when communication between devices is not sufficient. The BCT scans the network and determines which devices are active, which devices are responding slower than others and which devices are missing on a network segment altogether. The PRTU-BAC-RTR enables the transmission of information between BACnet networks such as BACnet/IP, BACnet Ethernet and
BACnet MS/TP. Devices on these networks are then discoverable on a front end system like the Price Web Server or on a BAS System, and are configurable online through any web browser.

The Disio Cloud is a complete BACnet Building Management (BMS) solution for small to medium sized networks. The Disio Cloud hosts all web pages containing graphics and BACnet points reported by the system controllers. The Disio Cloud is accessed from any computer or smart device (tablet or mobile phone) on the local network using a web browser. Remote access is possible from across the globe through www.disio.io/ Contained within the Cloud are pre-loaded templates with graphics and points lists for the popular Price controls. Changes to the graphics or the creation of new custom graphics are supported from within the web interface. The Price Intelligent Controller (PIC) was developed as a full blown DDC controller. Its versatility offers control sequences for single ducts, fan powered boxes, dual ducts, chilled beams, fan coils and blower coils.
The PIC controller comes pre-programmed with a specified sequence, resulting in no field programming required. With its plug & play capabilities, the PIC controller is quick and easy for contractors to install, and daisy-chain into a BACnet MS/TP network.
The PIC is available with several thermostat options allowing the designer to match the specific needs of the customer. All Price thermostats, except the wireless model, have an RJ45 jack, allowing plug & play connection with the supplied NETC35 cable.

The PRTU-IP-SWITCH is a plug and-play Ethernet switch used to expand available connections for BACnet routers and additional network devices. All five ports automatically configure their data rate and accommodate a straight through or crossover cable using the Auto-MDIX protocol.

Designed to work with any constant volume or variable volume packaged rooftop in small to medium sized buildings (50,000 sq.ft.) with 2-30 ton applications, the PRTU is an advanced proportional integral (PI) DDC controller that offers intelligent control for your building. The Critical Area Recirculation/Exhaust System (CARES) is a single 48 in. x 48 in. airflow device that combines the capabilities of a reverse flow Fan Filter Unit (FFU) with a one-way, flush face radial flow diffuser to manage the airflow for an entire patient room. PRICE model CFS-2F ceiling radiation dampers have been tested, approved, and
classified by Underwriters’ Laboratories in an UL Fire Resistance Directory showing a penetration incorporating a hinge door type
damper. The low profile height of the CFS2F damper makes it ideal for small cavity areas. This damper may be subsitituted into any UL design which incorporates a hinge door type damper as outlined in the Fire Resistance Directory. With the approval of the local inspector, the damper provides the appropriate protection along with its low profile height is the perfect combination with a ceiling exhaust fan.
